Our Story

Address plack

When we decided to plant coffee trees surrounding our home, the untouched solid lava rock had to be cleared of dead trees and brush.  A 5 ton giant tractor was brought in to break up the lava, with a giant 2.5 ton hydroulic hammer that punched each of the 3000 holes and spread the compost. Then solar powered irrigation was installed with an automatic furtigater which injects fertilizer into the drip lines. Finally 12" Kona coffee keikis "seedlings" were planted. Much to our surprise and happiness was the rapid growth that followed.
